On the Boooooomeeeeeeraaaaaaang express! It all comes back to Jesus!

Ahh, it's been a long week. A VERY long week. As I sit here with a hot cup of tea in my hand, typing away with the other, I finally feel incredibly at peace. I've been listening to this song "In Summer" by Cao Fang. It's a really beautiful chinese song with acoustic guitar, though most people only hear the end of it (which is the prettiest part anyway) haha. It's odd though because I don't listen to Chinese music almost ever. Well anyway...

This week was Vacation Bible School at my church, which I helped out with as a volunteer. We had an Australian outback theme. It was pretty fun. It was called Boomerang Express. The coolest part was that the last day (today) the kids got to ride a train that went around the parking lot. It was so fun to see them having such a great time. Today was kind of a stressful week, as we seemed to have one of the most... challenging classes. Alot of the kids would NOT stop fighting >< it all ended out okay in the end though, after a week of time-outs, kids screaming "Miss Aleah!!! She hit me!" and a few scares of having less kids than we started out with, we got through it, and the kids still had an awesome time.

lol, I love VBS, this year was just a bit harder than others.

Well, on another note, I get a complete break. Camp is the day after tomorrow!!! WOOT! 6 days of fun, awesomeness, and of course a little bit of time to learn about Jesus. Then there's going to be the random fun that always happens when i'm with my posse xD Ah! I love my friends so much. I can't flippin' wait. Although I do wish some people could be there who aren't, i'm still going to have an awesome time, as we do every year.

lol, this post was kinda pointless, but I really needed to put something after a week of not typing anything :/

I'VE GOT THA POWAHHH!

You know? I really do. xD I don't mean ing the figurative sense, I mean my house actually has power, which i'm very happy about xD There was a power outage at my house for 3 days >< Which is why i'm trying to make up for it by posting twice today. (who knows, there might be a third :D) Well, I didn't exactly remember what it was that I was trying to say in my last post, but I just thought I would say i'm glad to be sitting in AC.

Plus, this is completely random, but I REALLY want one of these:


It has the weirdest name: nabaztag/tag. But it's this super awesome thing that plays mp3s, is an alarm clock, reads your emails (and I think IMs) for you and you can talk to it and it apparently has a personality too. It dances, reads the air quality in any city you choose, tells time, the latest news, the weather forecast, tells what traffic will be like, and has things like podcasts but they're made specifically for the nabaztag thing. It all connects by Wi-Fi! There's only one or two buttons and no screen, and it does this all by voice recognition! It's so flipping awesome....

...I am such a nerd.

Strawberries grow on bushes??? Who knew?

Hiya :)

So today there wasn't much to do, but yesterday, I had the most awesome day! I wrote a ton about it, but unfortunately, blogger had a glitch and half of it was deleted, and I don't have the drive to type it up again, so i'm just going to give a slight overview. Gah...

Yesterday. was. fantastic. Church was awesome, and then after church, I went to a party at my friend's house. We ate, played guitar hero, had slushies. And then here's the best part: He taught me how to shoot a gun. Oh. yes. ...Well... actually... it was a potato gun.... but I still feel like i'm 'da (wo)man! He and his friend built these awesome potato launchers out of PVC pipe and a fuse and something else.. I don't know exactly how it works but he sprays hairspray in it and it works like gunpowder! It was the funnest thing ever!

So here's what happened. he showed me how to use it, and then handed it to me. I pressed the button, closed my eyes and flinched.... but nothing happened but a click. "More hairspray" he says. and I sprayed more hairspray in. Tried again: nada. After a few tries his dad stepped in and gave it a try, and then handed it to me again. I cocked the potato blaster/launcher/bazooka/whatever upward, and the potato shot off, along with the back end of the launcher, and it singed the side of my shirt, and I screamed like a little girl xD I broke it. (not horribly, it's still fixable!) Beyond the initial fright, it was hilarious because I didn't even know it blew off until my side felt really hot and I looked behind me to see the end of the launcher rolling away. I still have grey marks on my shirt (I don't know if it burnt the shirt slightly, or if it was just the hairspray marks) but I sure have an awesome story to tell if anyone asks :D

Well anyway, besides yesterday, today i've been sitting here bored most of the time. 10 minutes ago, while me and my sis were watching TV, I thought to myself, "I wonder where strawberries grow." It occurred to me that I had never seen a strawberry plant. Ever. So me and my sister discussed strawberries. Yup. This was literally the highlight of my day (that's how boring the rest of my day was):

Me:Hey, ya know? I just realized, I have no idea how strawberries actually grow
Sis: Plants.
Me: Well duh, I know that, but I mean.... I've never like, seen a strawberry tree before or anything.... do they even grow on trees? Is it like a vine? -
Sis:ummm
Me: or maybe a stalk, or bush...? Or what if you just yank them out of the ground like a raddish? *laugh* well, I guess since it's a berry it would grow on a bush...
Sis: *laughs* What are you talking about??
Me: I don't know....
*akward silence*
Sis: I know! I'll google it! :D
Me: YAY!

So anyway, strawberries grow on bushes, if anyone's interested in knowing. :3

So....

Well, first of all... I was surprised I already had an account with blogger because of my gmail account. So now Google has taken over Blogger, Youtube.... I'm just wondering what's next. O.o I mean honestly, I swear they're trying to take over the world. I feel like telling them "Google, stop because I think Oprah Winfrey is already trying, and goodness knows if there was a war between Google and Oprah Winfrey...." You know, come to think of it I really would like to know how that would turn out... Google versus Oprah Winfrey. haha. I wonder who would win. There would be a war and one day you log onto the internet to see "Please use your Google Username to log into Harpo Studios" ....*shudders*

...Darn it! You see! This is what happens when I try to put my "Welcome to my blog" post at 2 AM when i'm hyped up on tea. Ahem... allow me to start over, my dear readers. :)

So, i've tried starting a blog, yet again. I wonder what will come of it this time! haha. Well, in any case, i've been really needing some place to put down my thoughts at the moment, so we'll see what comes of it. I go by Hachiko, I love anime, writing music, singing, writing books, and being an insomniac. I live in the lovely sunshine (*cough*HURRICANE*cough*) state of Florida... I have two adorable dogs named Taz and Bella, and a group of amazing friends who I don't know where i'd be without. I'm a God lover, and a dog lover. I'm homeschooled, and my favorite place to hang out is church, because I have nothing else to do with my time.... yeah... honestly.... but it's a good thing. I don't know where i'd be without my church family either, but I know I wouldn't have turned out too good. Well, that's a basic intro on me. I'm the type of person who has QUITE alot to say, (obviously) but I don't want to bore anyone in my first ever post. I'd like to say welcome to my blog, and I hope I haven't scared anyone away. xD
