Oh this is the night, it's a beautiful night, and we call it Bella Notte =)

Except this little Bella Notte is just driving my a teensy weensy bit crazy haha. Bella Notte (otherwise known as Bella) is my spaztic golden retriever/lab mix. Haha, funnily enough I just watched Marley and Me for the first time last night, and it seemed straight out of the movie. Don't get me wrong, I love my baby-Bella to death, but she's a handful. xD

...The monolougue of a day in the life of Aleah and Bella...

Well, today, I was in a pretty good mood, as I took my dogs out, and as I was about to take them on a walk, I realized it was about to rain, so I decided to take them back inside the house and instead let Taz (my other pupper) out in the backyard as I went to get Bella's leash. But, once she saw the door open, Bella had other plans, so she decided to make a run for it.

"NOESSS" I cried as Taz looked at me like I was a mad woman as I sprinted all the way around the side of the house to see if I could catch her... only to be very confused as I realized she wasn't there. Bella is a very unique dog, who can do extrodinary things to get herself in trouble, and of that i'm fully aware, although at this time I don't think she can disappear at will, which was the source of my confusion. Moving on...

Then another thing came in to my mind. Which was 'Oh crap! I just left Taz in the backyard by himself! What if he's gone too?' Though as I walked, panting, to the backyard, Taz was sitting on the back porch waiting for the madness to end and for me to let him back inside. Which is exactly what I did, then continued my search. Then of course, that's when it started POURING down rain. Delightful :)

I ran to the creek behind my house, and at first I couldn't see anything, until I saw something that looked like the end of a black broom flailing WILDLY through the air and then vanishing into the grass, popping back up again, and going down again. It happened to be Bella's tail. I actually wish I had gotten a video of actually how hilarious this looked, but you'll just have to imagine... but I would say it looked something like this:



Except like... flailing. In grass.


I looked down at her at that point, not even trying to grab for her collar, and said "Bella, what are you doing?" cracking up. However, she took that moment to hop away like an impala and go explore someone else. It was that point when I was getting desperate, and decided it was time I devised a plan. "BELLA!" I hollered again, and she stopped and stared at me blankly as if to say "Puh. You're trying to devise a plan against me? Your puny mind is not strong enough! MWAHAHAHA" before running farther away. Well... at least it seemed like that's what the look meant. You know what I mean! ><

--20 minutes later--

After chasing her around endlessly, I ran in the house, got some dog food, ran out, and in the sweetest voice possible, called "Ohhh, Bellaaaa!" , holding it out for her to see. At this point, I had found her in the neighbors pond. Swimming, or looking for fish, or whatever the heck she does. Again, came the "you wish" look, as I creeped closer to her, leash in one hand, treats in the other. She was completely still, before she ran out of the pond, and bolted past me, but just making sure to run close enough to wipe pond water on my clothes.

--15 minutes later--

Desperately, I grabbed the first thing I could find out of the fridge, this time, it was some pieces of leftover pasta that my mommy had made earlier. This time though, my plan was more intricate. I led Taz outside with me, with the pasta in hand. At this point however, I was getting really worried as she was in the neighborhood across the creek from us, so she was WAYY off our property. At first I walked around with Taz, calling Bella's name, although I was still a little freaked because it was pouring rain and the thunder was getting really loud. >< She eventually popped up, drenched completely with water, and I wasn't sure if she had went pond-diving again or if it was just the rain. Either way, I decided, I WOULD catch her. I sat Taz down in front of me, making sure that she saw that Taz was getting delicious pasta while she was off running around instead of eating it. I threw a bit to Taz, then looked at Bella, who was standing stock still staring at my hand. 'There we go' I thought as I called her, wiggling the pasta like an idiot and cooing "Come on, girlie!" while throwing another piece to Taz. She suddenly ran toward me at full speed. "YES!" I finally thought, as I was ready to hook the leash on her collar. She got about 10 feet away as I braced myself, ready for the incoming impact, but at that moment she turned on a dime with a bark which I interpreted as "HAHA! SEEYA SUCKA!" Taz literally sighed. So did I, as we retreated back in the house to hatch another plan.

--1 minute later---

I trekked back out, sans-Taz with the same basic plan chasing her around the neighborhood... which only ended up in a



--5 minutes later--

After chasing her around, I decided to try something which had worked in the past. I would PRETEND I had food. I just had to find something really big that was bigger than pasta or dog treats. The closest thing I could find? A tree... Not the tree iself, but was was on the tree... Branches :D She was, again in the neighborhood across the creek, and this time she was quickly going out of sight. I yanked about a foot-long twig off the branch and dangled it, calling her name, but it wasn't working to well. As she glanced toward me, I began to pretend to eat it. (Note: I didn't actually put it in my mouth, I just pretended I was!) I pretended to chew, and said MMMMMmmm. She only came a few feet closer. Again. Fail.

--8 minutes later--

She had come back into the area of our neighborhood but was still running around neighbors houses, and at this point, I was exhausted. I called "BELLA!" once again, but she continued to ignore me as she pranced around the neighbors yard 3 houses down. I put my hands on my knees in exhaustion. Giving up, I sat in the grass and whined,"Fine Bella! Come back home when you WANT to, dang it!" I then sat in the grass and put my head in my hands, trying to rest. In about 10 seconds, I felt a cold wet nose touching the side of my face, and heard the jingle of dog tags. I looked up and was eye to eye with the spaz. Hooking her leash to her collar, I sighed as she finally walked calmly with me to the house. "How sweet" I wondered to myself "But could you have possibly come the FIRST time I called you???" but I still love her, and she's family. :)

Ahh, i've had this song stuck in my head for a couple days. It's called "The Best of You" by Foo Fighters. It's an awesome song. You should look it up :D

Anyway, can you believe the summer is coming to a close! AHHHH! I want to stuff a few more things in before it ends. Oddly enough, i've been spending the summer looking back on just how awesome it has been. Actually, the spring has been pretty awesome too.

Well, my year kind of started out incredibly (INCREDIBLY! Seriously...) sucky, but it got so much better. Thinking about it, I have so much to be thankful for... and i'm kinda upset I wasn't before. So I just want to say now, God, you're awesome xD and thanks for this amazing year, even with the challenges you gave me. It only made me stronger.

On another note, i've started playing guitar! (again) I tried playing before but I was never really good at it, but i've actually learned quite a few of the more difficult songs this week. I might post a few videos of me playing later on youtube. Unfortunately my camera is broken at the moment, but I will update if I get a new camera. (or borrow one of my friends' teehee)

Ummm... let's see.... Recently I can't stop making new songs! It makes me happy though. Every few days lyrics pop into my head and I have to run and write them down or there's a tune and I have to run to the piano. :) I shall post a few of them once I can find a camera.
